but wasn't there a mouse-slash samurai game before? it didn't have arrow keys though. like this better, offers more control. you should try to make this a ds-game I think. with left hand arrow control, right handstylus control, it could work
Sure, there is Straw Hat Samurai (a really cool game). One of the reasons I went ahead and made this game even though straw hat was already out there was that I wanted direct control with the arrows/WASD too. I think it's a very fundamental difference.
I agree, this control scheme could work great on the DS. Easier said than done, unfortunately. Who knows? Maybe some day.
HOWEVER! highly spammable (especially kage bunshin)
good how you got so much emotion ( at least, for me) in so little colors and pixels.
but that's only if you know about orpheus and euridyce. you might want to add some reference to the story. pretty hard, though I only needed two tries max. and the first boss was supposed to be... kerberos? and the second... hades? btw, for all the ones that don't get it, it's a greek myth about love, and how death can not be beaten.
although i have to say, with the title, i expected something else. also, i agree with the comments about difficulty. maybe after you did a game about the immune system, you can try to make a game about virusses (you being a virus trying to make the organism sick).
but i couldn't do 14 and 19, an some (like 20) were pure luck
absolutely fun, completing wasn't that hard, but the band-aids really were brutal.
even though some levels were brilliant, some were just to easy, because you didn't have to solve the puzzle to die. the graphics, well if you like 8bit it's good. i liked the levels were you had to think out of the box, but the hints were to good. btw, the last level was waaay to easy
a fair challenge, even though the enemies are harder and in smaller numbers, I did manage to see the end. by the way, i don't like the fact that you need that many bullets for just some speakers, I mean, 200 lifepoints for just standing and shooting?
it was pretty neat, especially for something you made because you were bored.;
two things though:
1:without efort, fun is over prety soon, it was nice for once, but not for twice. i'm aware that this was intentional, but maybe you could add a little extra just to get people to play it again
2:what was mentioned before: drugs and beer haven't got effect. the pictures and the jokes were nice, but the rest was a bit lame. maybe you could add some effect that makes the room spin, or changes the pictures for a while
anyway, good game, keep it up
